Former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan sentenced to 10 years in prison

Imran Khan has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for ’leaking state secrets’. The former Pakistan prime minister is alleged to have shared the contents of a secret cable sent by the country’s ambassador in the US with the government. Khan claimed the conviction was politically-motivated to bring about the downfall of his government, something the Pakistan military denies.
