Its stone drums produce a strange, haunting gong that carries far on the desert winds. Sami Yusuf’s composition incorporates the message of wind and stone by emphasizing nature sounds as much as music. Its dramatic, primordial ending centers us and calls us inward. It whispers of the majesty of place and the weight of time.
