How To Model A Concept Car In Plasticity | Part 1 | Laying Out The Size and Scale

In this video we are going to kick off a new series modeling a concept car from scratch with Plasticity. This series is recorded as I go through the process so any problems encountered will be addressed in the videos. We are not using any blueprints or replicating a real car. The series is currently 11 videos each around 20-30 mins long explaining which tools to use, why, and the general process. If you are following along I don’t plan to release the model of the car until the very end because I want you to model your own. You don’t have to follow mine exactly. And if you have trouble please leave comments! Plasticity v was used for these videos. 00:00 Introduction 02:52 Getting Started With Units 03:40 Shortcuts you should know 06:30 Start Laying Out The Scale Of The Car 12:57 Input Cleanup 13:15 Building the Wheel Arch Profiles 20:49 Building the Wheel Arch Surfaces 27:05 Trim and Imprint Curve 29:38 Wrap-up and Conclusion of Episode 1
