Shocking moment Just Stop Oil mob smash painting at the National Gallery

Two Just Stop Oil protesters have been arrested after apparently striking the protective glass on the Rokeby Venus oil painting at the National Gallery today. The pair painting around 11am this morning using what the gallery has described as ’emergency rescue hammers’. The painting is now being removed from display so it can be examined by Conservators.
