Natural disaster 4 June 2024 After heavy rains hit Bielsko-Biala and nearby towns overnight and in the morning, firefighters carried out more than 820 interventions. Streets and many cars were flooded, with water entering residential homes, school basements, and the city puppet theater. In the Bielsko district, the situation is also critical, with two out of three bridges leading to the village submerged. Residents are anxiously watching the sky as further heavy rains are forecasted for the region. The community remains on high alert as emergency services continue to respond to the flooding.
