CD Audio Lover : RS241 DHT, Does the WW2 Power tube have a bad sound? To small Output!!

The RS 241 tube is a vacuum tube from WW2 1931-1945, an old tube from Telefunken. Rarely found for Audio tubes. the Poutof this tube is small for pure class A. But in my opinion this is an extraordinary audio tube! On the VT52 page, this is tube number 1 for DHT power tubes. the Telefunken RS241 with Filament and on MY RS241 Single ended triode tube amp: Va 350Vdc, Ri 4k1, Ra 12k, Vg Rk 330R / 29mA, mu 17 V/V has a Pout of /- 1.7 watts. with autobias. This tube has a low Vg allowing the driver to easily achieve positive bias, class A2. with Harmonie distortion 1.4% at Vin max 18 V. What can be done with not much power? It can work with high sensitive speaker drivers that provide beautiful sound. ideally with field coil speakers, but I don’t have that, so with my DIY Fostex FE164 and T900A speakers this is quite promising for its beautiful sound output. You won’t get this on other tubes...!! happy listening with the CD audio HQ on CDpro2 a
