Dog Days - A Pictorial Novelty (1930)

“Most dogs by nature are not well-behaved - lessons in etiquette are very necessary.“ M/S of a man sitting on a stool in a garden. He has about a dozen dogs sitting in front of him. C/U of three dogs looking at their trainer. M/S of him sitting in shorts, shirt and bow tie speaking to the dogs. They sit up and beg. A little puppy sits on top of a box and the trainer tries to teach it to sit up. C/U of a black and white dog appearing from around the corner of the house. Cute! C/U of black puppy sitting on the box. Black and white dog walks in the garden. Puppy filmed jumping off the box in slow motion. He starts chewing a ball. By a camera trick (reversal) the puppy appears to jump backwards onto the box again. Black dog sits up and begs then falls over backwards. “Blanche is studying acting - Registering hunger “ Blanche is the black and white dog. C/U of Blanche putting her paw in her mouth.
