Isopropyl chloride (2-chloropropane) from isopropyl alcohol, hydrochloric acid and calcium chloride

Today we make isopropyl chloride also known as 2-chloropropane. I plan to use this in the future to synthesize a chemical that I believe has a sweet taste. But what will it be and how sweet will it taste compared to sucrose (table sugar)? Join me and find out. The synthesis of cyclohexyl chloride on which this procedure is based can be found at either of the links below: - on page 275 - If you would like to help me make videos you can do that by supporting me via Patreon: or you can donate using BitCoin: 1KUWpx4bVdWyrNSfNaWxfJD6jiyiyGPiLy WARNING: This video is only for entertainment purposes.
