The original Hagen Quartet plays Mozart’s String Quartet # 15 in D minor, . This is an early performance of the Haydn Quartet (the second violin member was subsequently replaced). The Hagen Quartet is clearly the finest set of recordings of these works that were released in the early digital age. This clip was filmed sometime in the mid to late 1990’s.
