The Addams Family Cartoons by Charles Addams

The Addams Family was born from the mind of cartoonist Charles “Chas“ Addams. These cartoons were published in The New Yorker from 1938 until Addams’s death in 1988. Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, Pugsely, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Lurch, Thing and Cousin It all went on to great fame in the 1964-1966 TV Series, two very popular movies in 1991 and 1993 and several other resurrections. Here are some of the best cartoons from Charles Addams’s original collection. You can see many of the gags from the show and movies were first dreamed up in these kookie, creepy comics. I do not own rights to the music or images. This is a fan tribute.
