Roman Feast (1961)

Bath, Avon. M/S of some flaming petrol or fireworks being thrown onto the water of the Roman Baths. Various shots of a Roman Feast that took place to start off a ten-day festival of music and the arts at Bath. The guests are all in Roman dress; some girls in short tabards do a Roman dance; some young ’slave boys’ are seen pouring wine at a table; ’slave girls’ serve food to guests. M/S of actor Sir Michael Redgrave in a very ornate Roman costume (presumably he has come as Nero) and make-up as he drinks wine and chats to another Roman. M/S of numerous guests sitting on the stones around the water.
