THE TAIL GUNNER | A Star Citizen experience

A Forgotten Heralds corvette patrol is ambushed in deep space by an unknown enemy force. Helmet cam footage from the tail gunner recorded the harrowing encounter. - In this video I explore what Star Citizen would sound like with the audio simulation disabled. In Star Citizen lore, pilots and crew can hear the sounds of battle even in deep space due to what is known as the audio simulation. Which takes targeting and radar data and creates a faux audio landscape that users can hear to provide tactical awareness. In the past CIG’s audio team have expressed interest in allowing us to customize the audio experience from the sim, and in some limited ways, be able to turn some aspects off for a more authentic space experience. This video was edited by me to reproduce what it would sound like to fight in space with the audio simulation disabled so you can feel the visceral impacts of the hull taking a beating, the gentle thrum of the engines and the rapid vibrations of guns firing off into the cold darkness of open space. - Check out Shepard’s perspective as the pilot of the Hammerhead if you want to watch the uncut/unedited action.
