Cambridge professor of philosophy Fraser MacBride recounts the debate between Bertrand Russell and Ludwig Wittgenstein on Russell’s theory of judgment. Wittgenstein’s theory of representation, as advanced in his Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, is said to respond to and rebut Russell’s theory of judgment (aka theory of knowledge).
