Shaun (Simon Pegg from Mission Impossible and The World’s End), 29, has no direction in his life, is disrespected by his colleagues, and does not get along with his stepfather. Therefore, he spends a lot of time at the Winchester, his favorite pub, with his roommate Ed (Nick Frost from The World’s End). This exasperates his girlfriend Liz (Kate Ashfield), who also blames him for his refusal to commit more to their relationship and his propensity to break promises. To make up for it, Shaun invites the young woman to a restaurant. But the following day, he forgets to reserve the table. Not being able to bear it anymore, Liz decides to leave him. Realizing how much he cares for her, Shaun sets out to win her back. But his plans are disrupted by a sudden invasion of the undead across the city.
