As a very young child there were two movies that literally scared the hell out of me... Jaws and.... The Thing. I stayed out of the ocean for decades and was afraid of sled dogs for a good number of years. LOL!! You don’t take a 4 year old to see a giant shark movie let alone a sci-fi body horror movie. Despite the fear the movie stayed with me for the rest of my life. It’s truly a masterpiece (both of them) and one I hope to honor in this fan made ambient soundscape using no clips or sounds from the movie at all.
