At the Isha Yoga Center, this morning, Ashramites and Brahmacharis gathered to pay tribute to Sadhguru’s father Dr. Vasudev, who passed away in Mysuru on the night of 8 November 2019. The Kalabhairava Karma ritual for the departed was performed at 8:30am. Dr. Vasudev was an ophthalmologist who served with the Indian Railways. He retired 3 decades ago from the Mysuru Railway Hospital. He was 95 years of age and died of natural causes. His last rites were performed in Mysuru by family. Sadhguru, who is currently conducting Isha programs in the US, penned a moving tribute to his father. In the last 37 years, Sadhguru has not canceled a single public engagement on any account.
