Samurai Duel Rendered on UE’s Path Tracer. Preparing for LED Volume Filming.

Bushido is a short film that was created utilizing the front end of our virtual production workflow. Our final VP step will be principal photography that will take place on our brand new LED volume set to open next month in Vancouver, Canada. The short was artistically inspired by the long standing practice of Bushido, a feudal code of the Japanese samurai. The ideology of Samurai during feudal Japan, which promoted the importance of loyalty, honour and martial arts was a perfect choice that provided choreographed action of fighting sequences and an opportunity to highlight a fictitious, old world, Japanese courtyard. The short was rendered utilizing Unreal’s Path Tracer and NVIDIA GPUs including the latest Ada Generation card. In order to prep for the LED stage successfully, we relied on the crucial step of techvis. Upon concluding previsualization and finalizing the previs edit, each scene in the script is meticulously analyzed during this stage. Techvis yields essential info
