Carving a Snake from Wood! Shamokin, Pa. Part 2 of 3

In part 2 of this 3 part demonstration, I’ll be finishing the snake with the layout of all the scales, using a wood burning pen to put in each individual scale, and then onto the finishing. Laying out the scales for my snake carving takes a lot of discipline, along with two good sharp pencils and a good eraser. This takes more time to do this step than it does to carve the entire snake. If you keep at it, you may get done in about a week. It took me a really long time to figure out this technique for laying
