Hezbollah retaliates for Israel’s assassination of Fuad Shukr

At dawn today (August 25), the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launched a large-scale drone and missile attack on Israel. It also announced that the attack was retaliation for Israel’s assassination on July 31 of Hezbollah’s top military commander, Fuad Shukr. Dimitri Lascaris is in Beirut, Lebanon. Hours after the attack began, he examined the nature of the attack and the possibilities for further escalation of the war in West Asia.
