Madness happens in Africa! Cyclone Freddy devastates Malawi and Mozambique!
One of the strongest cyclones ever recorded in the Southern Hemisphere hit southern Africa for the second time in a month.
Cyclone Freddy stayed in the Indian Ocean for a total of 35 days.
It is now the longest named tropical system in history.
The previous record was held by Typhoon John in 1994, which lasted 31 days.
On Saturday, a cyclone hit central Mozambique, causing flooding around the port of Quelimane.
At least six people were killed.
The cyclone then moved inland towards Malawi.
It is reported that at least 99 people have already died in Malawi.
Scientists say climate change is making tropical storms stronger.
Because greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere and the oceans get warmer.
As warm seawater evaporates, heat energy is transferred to the atmosphere, causing more severe storms.
