We recorded this mix with Vahagn M. at the Phoenix Bar in Yerevan, Armenia. Cocktail Bar Phoenix is a Two-Story establishment with distinct concepts on each floor. The first floor houses the Ararat Brandy Flagship bar, a mono-spirit Low Energy bar dedicated solely to the renowned Armenian Ararat brandy. All cocktails are crafted using Ararat brandy, with the main menu inspired by the 12 fundamental elements of alchemy. Such as, for example, Opus – the actual process of obtaining a stone or elixir; or Aqua vitae (translated from Latin as “water of life”) is the medieval European name for a solution of ethyl spirit obtained by distilling wine (initially) or other fermentable substances in a still. The bar offers the full range of the Yerevan Brandy Company’s products, available for tasting in Flight Boards. A highlight is the 350-liter oak barrel of Armenian brandy aging the Ararat Negroni cocktail. Bar Phoenix serves as a bridge between the old, the legendary, and the new!
