Ship Hit Near Houthi Area; Hezbollah Vows To Avenge Hamas Leader’s Death; Turkey Foils Mossad Plot

The British maritime security company Ambrey has reported a recent attack on a container ship. According to Ambrey, a Malta-flagged vessel reported witnessing three explosions while located 15 miles southwest of Yemen’s Mocha. Ambrey believes that three missiles were fired from Yemen’s Taiz Governorate. In a separate development, Hezbollah has pledged to retaliate against the alleged Israeli killing of the Hamas deputy leader. The Lebanese militant group has vowed to “punish Israel for the killing of Saleh Al-Arouri“ in Beirut, emphasizing that they will not let the killing go unanswered. Hezbollah has declared that its fighters are on high alert to respond to the Israeli action. Saleh Al-Arouri was reportedly killed in an Israeli drone strike in Beirut on January 2, 2024. Additionally, Turkish authorities have detained numerous individuals suspected of having ties to the Israeli Mossad in Turkey. The Turkish government claims that these individuals were planning to target Palestinians, including Hamas members, on Turkish soil. This crackdown occurred after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan cautioned Israel against any attempts to target Hamas leaders in Turkey.
