Antonio José: Romancillo Infantil for Guitar (Score video)

Romancillo Infantil is, perhaps, the first work written for the guitar by the composer Antonio José. He would later write his Sonata (1933) for the same instrument, in response to the pleas of his friend, the guitarist Regino Sáinz de la Maza. Antonio José’s works evolve along two clearly defined lines: music with modernist influences and traditional folk rhythms and melodies from his native region.
