As the world focuses on the Olympic season, China’s open-source community is welcoming its own ’golden moment’ — openKylin is set to unveil its milestone 2.0 official version at the 2024 China Operating System Industry Conference.
The grand unveiling of openKylin 2.0 will take place at the conference’s openKylin Open Source Innovation Forum, scheduled for August 8th at 14:00 Beijing time in the G10 conference room of the Beijing Zhongguancun International Innovation Center. This significant moment will mark the beginning of a new chapter in open-source operating system technology.
At the openKylin Open Source Innovation Forum, industry experts will deliver keynote speeches highlighting the innovative features of openKylin 2.0. These presentations will cover its deep integration with RISC-V architecture, AI-driven advanced functions, and sophisticated security measures developed through extensive collaboration. Following the presentations, an awards ceremony will recognize the team efforts behind numerous achievements, acknowledging the outstanding contributions of enterprises, universities, educators, user groups, and developers.
Just as Olympic athletes challenge their limits on the field, openKylin 2.0 will showcase China’s “faster, higher, stronger“ in the technology domain. Let us together witness this new peak in open-source operating system technology!

1. An x86_64-bit computer;
2. A formattable USB flash drive with a capacity of no less than 8GB;
tips: 1G=1024MB, for the convenience of calculation, it can be estimated as 1G=1000MB
Configuration requirements
Suggested configuration for smooth experience
● CPU: mainstream products after 2018 (6 cores and above)
● Memory: 8GB and above (tips: 4GB and above are recommended for virtual machines)
● Hard disk: 128GB and above free storage space
Minimum configuration for system installation
● CPU: products after 2015 (dual-core)
● Memory: no less than 4GB (tips: at least 2GB is allocated to virtual machines)
● Hard disk: no less than 50GB free storage space
