Rosetta Benny Carter - Harry Sweets Edison 1983
During the 1983 Bern Jazz Festival we see and hear two formidable jazz stars perform a tune remembering a compostion by pianist Earl Fatha Hines, who had just past on. Benny Carter on alto sax together with Harry Sweets Edison on trumpet do a fabulous version of this famous standard and are being backed up by Gerry Wiggins piano, Jimmy Wood bass, and Oliver Jackson drums. You dont hear subtle jazz like this much anymore
