Tony Blackburn looks at the weekly pop chart from 28th August 1975 and introduces Kenny, Rod Stewart, Desmond Dekker, Jasper Carrott, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Hot Chocolate, Peter Skellern, Bimbo Jet, Billie Jo Spears, Chris Spedding, The Stylistics, Mike Batt with The New Edition and a Pans People dance sequence. Single edit and title track of The Eagles fourth LP, released as the second single (after Best of My Love) and here introduced by perm-a-grin (and also perm-a-tan) Lego™ haired Tony Blackburn, in some hideous striped jacket looking like it’s ripped from some deck chair (giving it a swift intro only). What a routine thou, one of my fav’s from the Pans People ’75 canon, and one of only a few surviving editions from that year (looking at the wiped editions, there is alot of good treats callously dumped by good old BBC).
