Mr O’Connor (O’Carolan) on R&R#4683 body with head of #2130
“Mr. O’Connor“ by Turlough O’Carolan (1670-1738) played on the body of Rudall & Rose #4683 (made c 1843) with the head of #2130 (made c 1833).
I’m afraid the limitations of my mobile phone’s mic and audio software are rather apparent - there are some frequencies it just doesn’t cope with....
My interpretation and performance of this piece is still developing but has changed quite a bit from the early, dot-reading rendition in my previous Bb flute recording. This take is by no means perfect, but is an indication of where I’m heading with the tune having learnt and explored it somewhat.
