The Satanic Panic: A Brief History

United States Suicide Hotline: 1-800-273-8255 After July 16th: 988 The Satanic Panic which gripped the nation from about 1979-1992 almost saw D&D and other TTRPGs banned in America. But really happened during the panic? Well with the recent release of Stranger Things season 4, I thought it would be a great time to discuss the panic. The Satanic Panic expands so far beyond normal religion. What happened was a moral panic born out of fear. While primarily evangelical Christians spread the panic, people of all religions and walks if life were swept up in the fervor.
