Finally released my alternate picking speed course!
When it comes to building speed, most teachers will tell you to practice ‘slow and accurate’. I used to practice that way as well when I first started, but I eventually got stuck. I plateaued, and no matter how much I practiced (and trust me, I practiced A LOT), my speed always stayed the same.
A few years ago, while I was recording a solo, I realized I can play WAY faster in short bursts of notes, and discovered a way to use this technique in a practice routine to drastically increase my speed, and tighten up my playing. I realized that practicing ‘slow and accurate’ was holding me back and if I strategically pushed myself beyond my normal tempo, I could quickly build my speed in a short amount of time.
Over the years I tired this practice routine with some of my students, and all of them saw amazing results. That’s why I decided to put this information into my newest course:
