Abel’s detailed drawings and paintings of the trees, plants and wildlife found in his native Colombian Amazon rainforest are currently on display BALTIC and can be viewed online at: When Abel was first asked to share his knowledge of the rainforest, he had never even drawn before, but said he had “a whole world in my mind asking me to picture the plants.” The resulting drawings, made from memory, are precise, botanical illu
