Aokigahara (青木ヶ原) is a forest (known as “Suicide Forest“) at the base of Mt. Fuji that is the number one place for suicide in Japan. 50 to 100 bodies are discovered in this forest every year. Not all of the bodies have ever been discovered due to the vastness of this forest. The forest is second on the list for places to commit suicide, the first being the Golden Gate Bridge.
