Gossip - The little band that could, returned to the Bay Area for an infectious show as part of Treasure Island Music Festival 2012 on Sunday night. Lead singer Beth Ditto opened greeting the crowd happily. Playing tracks from both the recent “A Joyful Noise“ & “Music for Men“. Ditto, guitarist Brace Paine, drummer Hannah Blilie, and two touring musicians exhibiting that the bluster was not only still there, but in full glory—Ditto’s voice snow balling like an avalanche!! They also showed that played live, some of Joyful Noise’s more lackluster songs are just as good as Gossip classics. The band worked the crowd into a frenzy over and over again. A perfect way to end an EXCELLENT music festival.
