Ice skaters take a stroll on Amsterdam’s frozen canals

Subscribe to our channel! Dozens of residents took advantage of Amsterdam’s frozen canals, on Sunday, to brush-off their ice skating skills. The city’s canals froze during the cold weather brought by Storm Darcy, the first major snowstorm to affect the Netherlands in a decade, which caused significant disruption to rail, road, and air traffic across the country. According to the latest data compiled on Sunday by the John Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, the Netherlands registered over 1 million confirmed cases of coronavirus and nearly 15,000 deaths with the disease.
