How to do Forward Crossovers - Looking Inside VS Outside of the Circle In this video World and Olympic Figure Skating Coach Igor Lukanin will explain the difference between forward crossovers looking inside VS outside of the circle. When a crossover is executed while looking outside of the circle, this can help to expand the amount of space one is covering. The circle is expanded and widened, as a result of the skaters weight staying outside of the circle. On the other hand - looking inside of the circle keeps the skater’s weight inside the curve the skater is on, leading to a narrow circle and more defined and deeper edge.
