2 Alarm FULLY INVOLVED Commercial Structure Fire Lakewood, NJ 6/20/21

OC - Lakewood - 357 Squankam Rd. At about 4:30 AM Lakewood Police department toned on a request for Engine 5 for a possible structure fire with heavy smoke in the area of 357 Squankam Rd. Police arrived shortly after and confirmed they saw flames from the second story. Engine 5 dumped a supply line down Squankam and started an interior attack of the fire trying to gain access to parts of the building. After seeing the main body of the fire Engine 5 called for a 2nd Alarm. The first ladder truck on the scene was ladder 5 of Lakewood. Cheif 1 then assumed command from Engine 5. The fire was then taken over the whole building and Cheif one requested more ladders and for engine 5 to get out and spray with the deck gun. They then went defensive for the remaining of the fire knockdown. After around 30 mins of fighting this fire, they seemed to finally have it under control with 3 ladders operating and multiple handlines.
