Halloween - Once upon a zombie

Hi, parents! Here’s a snippet of a storytelling session with a book we designed in last year’s Halloween workshops. Storytelling is very important for me as a teacher, and here are some reasons why I love it so much how does it help your child develop multiple skills! 🎃 Language acquisition - Storytelling exposes young learners to a wide range of vocabulary, sentence structures, and language patterns in a contextual and engaging manner. 🎃 Cultural understanding - Through stories that feature characters and settings from various cultures, children gain insights into different ways of life, traditions, and customs. 🎃 Listening and comprehension Skills - Listening to stories read aloud or told by a teacher or parent improves children’s listening and comprehension skills. 🎃 Speaking and pronunciation -Storytelling helps them develop speaking skills, build confidence in using English, and refine their pronunciation as they mimic the storyteller. 🎃 Critical thinking and creativity - Storytelling stimulates critical thinking as children analyze plots, characters, and events. It also boosts their creativity as they imagine new scenarios or create their own stories in English. Have you ever done storytelling with your little ones? As parents, can you differentiate it from regular story reading? Let me know! #englishforkids #halloween #englishforchildren #storytelling
