Please activate the HD function(720p) before watching the video or watch it with a larger type player (in 480p). This version of “The Song of the Dawn“ by the George Olsen orchestra is one of my favourite records. This song was featured in the Technicolor musical extravaganza “King of Jazz“ which featured Paul Whiteman - who called himself just that.... In the movie “The Song of the Dawn“ was performed by John Boles. Perhaps one of the most famous scenes from this movie is the Paul Whiteman orchestra playing “Rhapsody in Blue“.... More information on the movie can be found here : Information on Paul Whiteman : Information on George Olsen I found this record a very long time ago in Belgium... It is an American Victor pressing, which are not often found here... The previous owner must have liked this record a lot. The record is quite used! The video features images of New York City... About the record : Victor 22 370 - B USA, 1930 Record in quite used condition. This record was recorded with an Ortofon Om78cartridge and stylus. The equalization and restoration was done as truthfully as possible
