EASY CROCHET Washcloth Pattern For Beginners

You can Enlarge this pattern however much you would like. Instructions: Row 1: Chain 21 Row 2: HDC in second chain from hook. Slip stitch in next space. Repeat alternating HDC, slip Stich, HDC, slip stitch across. At the end of the row chain two, turn. Row 3: *HDC in first space, slip stitch in next space. Repeat across starting at the *. Chain 2, turn. Row 4-20: Repeat row 3 Once you have finished row 20 Do Not Tie off. We will continue on to the loop and border of the washcloth. This makes the washcloth look nice and neat. Border: We will start with the loop in the corner by chaining ten. Single crochet in first space and in all 19 space across. A total of 20 single crochets. Single Crochet a total of 3 times in the last space otherwise known as the corner space. Rotate work so that the side is face up. There are only 20 rows so make sure that you only crochet 20 single crochets across this side. Counting is very important. 3 Single Crochets in the last space or corner space. Rotate work so that the next side is now face up. Single crochet next 20 spaces. Three single crochets in corner. Last edge will also be a side edge so make sure you count 20 single crochets across. This should lead you right up to the loop we started with. Single Crochet 15 loops around the chain 10 band. Finish off with a slip stitch in the first space. Tie off and weave in the tail end.
