Festival of the Ceri (Festa dei Ceri) Gubbio, Italy 1992

**This is a complete video of Ceri traditions from beginning to end. The video is clearly from many years ago, but our family lead the Ceri that year for St. George. ENJOY!! Fesival of the Ceri (Corsa dei Ceri or the candle race) happens in the hillside town of Gubbio in Umbria every year on May 15th. This day marks the anniversary of the death of Saint Ubaldo. It is celebrated with a parade and a race between teams representing three saints; Saint Ubaldo who is the patron saint and the protector of the town, St. Antonio the protector of farmers and St Giorgio the protector of merchants.
