We were lucky enough to sit down with Pēteris Vasks during the recording process of our brand-new library, and talk to him about his creative ethos, musical inspirations, and the influence of nature on his work. Our new collection is inspired and guided by Pēteris Vasks’ Voices, a fully-detailed chamber string ensemble complete with violins, violas, celli, and basses: Small sections and first chair soloists. Working directly with Vasks, we recorded small sections and first chair soloists from Sinfonietta Riga at St John’s church in Riga, Latvia. And the results are breathtaking: A fully-detailed chamber ensemble with a unique character and color.
