Koenigsegg Jesko Attack & Jesko Absolut in action: V8 Sound, Accelerations, Spitting Flames & Bangs!

Here’s a fully dedicated video to the two Koenigsegg Jesko that were at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Jesko is named after Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of company Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg. Only 125 units will be made. The car features a redesigned 5.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine used in the Agera producing 1280 hp on standard gasoline and 1600 hp on E85 biofuel. Changes from the Agera’s engine include the use of a new flat-plane crankshaft that saves 5 kg and increases the redline from 8,250 rpm to 8,500 rpm. The two turbochargers are equipped with a 20-litre air tank made from carbon fibre, coupled with an electric compressor which feeds pressurised air to the turbochargers at a pressure of 20 bar (290 psi) in order to reduce turbo lag. The engine is mated with the new 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) system, designed and developed in-house by Koenigsegg. It consists of nine forward gears and seven wet, multi-disc clutches in one compact, ultra-light package (90 kg). It also has an overdrive mode called “Ultimate Power on Demand“ that is designed to skip directly to the optimal gear depending on user input, rather than down or upshifting sequentially to that gear. The Jesko can be ordered in two variants: Attack or Absolut. The first one is the ’default’ version, focused on high-downforce for track use. It features a huge rear-wing and a large carbon fiber front splitter, producing 1000 kg of downforce at 275 km/h. It has a curb weight of 1420 kg. The Absolut is the high speed/low-drag version of the Jesko which has required further hours of development to lower the drag coefficient to Cd=. The rear wing on the Jesko Attack has been of course removed and replaced by two rear fins which enable a reduction in downforce from 1,400 kg to 150 kg at max speed. The front splitter and side winglets are removed and the front louvers are smoother with the rear wheels featuring removable covers for high speed stability. The Absolut has a curb weight of 1390 kg.
