Some more infiormation about Club Saltatio - The association was founded on October 5, 1947 as “Nordwestdeutsches Tanz-Casino, Club for the Promotion of Ballroom Dancing“. On November 28, 1947, it was entered in the register of associations at the district court of Hamburg as “Club Saltatio e. V.” From 1976 to 1993, Club Saltatio cooperated with the Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816 , the oldest surviving gymnastics club in the world. During the period of cooperation with the Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816, the club took part in tournament events under the name “Club Saltatio in the Hamburger Turnerschaft von 1816“. In 1992 the name was changed to “Club Saltatio Hamburg e. V.“ At tournaments, the club first appeared as “Club Saltatio Hamburg in the Hamburg Gymnastics Association of 1816“.
