Screen Test: J.K. Simmons - Spider-Man

A Screen Test with J.K Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson while Spider-Man is still filming progress in 2001. After he completed auditioning the character, Sony casted him to play the character role in the film. Before he was cast, some actors that were considered to play and audition the character of J. Jonah Jameson were R. Lee Ermey, Hugh Laurie, Harve Presnell, Dennis Farina, Michael Keaton (who was later cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Morbius), Fred Ward, and Bill Paxton.
