This video shows you this little baby cat who was brought to us by one of our rescues with a living insect in her nose. Upon further examination, Dr. Rothrock identified that it was an actual Cuterebra that had taken up residence in this poor baby’s nose, After some meds to sedate this baby kitten and some gentle care, Cuterebra was removed and kitten is doing well!
Dealing with a botfly in a cat’s nose can be a delicate situation. It’s crucial to seek professional veterinary assistance promptly. Trying to remove a botfly on your own may cause harm or complications. Veterinarians have the expertise and tools needed to address such issues safely, ensuring the well-being of your cat. If you suspect your cat has a botfly infestation, it’s advisable to consult with a vet for proper guidance and treatment.
