Rishi Sunak calls George Galloway’s by-election win in Rochdale “beyond alarming“

In a public address outside 10 Downing Street, the prime minister bemoaned George Galloway’s victory in Rochdale, a man he said is “endorsed by Nick Griffin, the racist former leader of the BNP“. His comments come after Galloway swept to victory at the Rochdale by-election following one of the most divisive campaigns in years. Labour withdrew support for its candidate, Azhar Ali, after a recording emerged in which he claimed Israel was complicit in the terrorist attacks of October 7.
