Hundreds of Roman era gold coins found in northern Italy

Italian authorities announced on Monday the discovery of hundreds of Roman-era gold coins that were found last week during excavations to build a new apartment building in northern Italy. Archaeologists believe the coins date back to the 5th century, an era marking the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The coins were transferred to a restoration laboratory, where archaeologists and restorers will examine them further.  Subscribe to us on YouTube: Download our APP on Apple Store (iOS)
