In this video we travel with the newest (ABe 4/16 Capricorn from 2019) and oldest (Ge 6/6 I RhB crocodile from 1929) units in active passenger service.
The Capricorn is a modern, air conditioned, comfortable EMU, currently in it’s test phase and is bound to replace a large portion of the older RhB rolling stock.
15 of the Ge 6/6 I “Rhaetian crocodiles“ were built between 1921 & 1929, with 2 still in service for nostalgic trains and occasionally to help out when there are locomotive shortages, mostly with freight. The other 13 locomotives were retired up until 2008, with 4 of them finding
...their way into museums.
We will be heading to Davos in the Capricorn, where we will join the Ge 6/6 I 414, as it shunts out of the Depot with the nostalgic train and heads back towards Filisur.
