Germany: Munich’s Allianz Arena lit up in rainbow colours for Christopher Street Day

Subscribe to our channel! Munich’s Allianz Arena was lit up in rainbow colours for Christopher Street Day on Saturday, as in previous years. Bayern Munich announced the illumination on Tuesday, saying it was intended to be “a globally visible symbol for tolerance as well as against homophobia and discrimination of all kinds,“ in a statement on the club’s website. The move comes after the club were denied permission by UEFA to light up the stadium in rainbow colours during Germany’s Euro 2020 group stage match against Hungary on June 23. UEFA refused the move as politically motivated, as the lighting had been intended to send a message against the Hungarian government’s recent passage of a law that bans LGBTQ people from appearing in TV programmes or educational materials aimed at under-18s. #Germany #Munich #AllianzArena #ChristopherStreetDay Video ID: 20210711-002 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@ Twitter: http://twitte
