Scouts, coaches, fans and more are always looking for the Next Big Thing. 6’6 9th grader (age 14 during freshman season) Kahlil Whitney wants to be THAT guy. Playing at Solorio Academy, a relatively new, small public high school with no basketball tradition on the city’s Southwest Side, Whitney might’ve slipped under some peoples’ radar.
