Advancing with Watercolor: Watercolor on Location NYC - “Crossing at Columbus Circle”

This video was done after a week of plein air painting with watercolor in New York City. It is part of a series of videos featuring Central Park, Bryant Park, Times Square, and Dumbo park at the Brooklyn Bridge. The workshop lasted six days and each day was a new adventure . In this video I I try to describe my thoughts as I build the composition, some strategies that I use in deciding when to paint certain passages and how to work wet on wet. In each video I will address some of the challenges with each motive and ways to meet those challenges. Along the way I hope you experience the same thrill of working in the city of New York under an open sky that we did.
